On Friday, November 20th, deputies with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Civil Unit carried out the final step of an eviction process at a homeless encampment in the county limits of Mendota.
Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Property Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s help to identify two met caught on camera vandalizing a water vending machine and ice freezer box. The crime lasted a total of nine minutes.
Detectives have identified a man they would like to question in regards to the deadly marijuana robbery attempt that occurred in Miramonte on September 21, 2015.

Update 11/12/15 7 a.m.: Around 12:45 am on Thursday, David Warren Riggins entered the main lobby of the Fresno County Jail and turned himself in to officers. Riggins stated that he knew law enforcement agencies were conducting an intense search for him and he was tired of hiding. Riggins has been booked into jail and faces two new charges; one for escape and one for conspiracy.
Local law enforcement agencies are actively searching for an inmate who was incorrectly released from the Fresno County Jail around 8:00 am on Wednesday.
It is with great sadness that the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office announces the passing of retired K-9 Reno. Reno was most known for his incredible recovery after being wounded in the line of duty during a July 2009 shootout between an armed suspect and deputies.
On October 14 at 11:30 am, two men drove into the parking lot of a business located on the 10600 E. Mountain View Ave. in Selma. These suspects were in a small, red hatchback car; possibly a Honda.
