Module III and II Academies

For over 50 years, California State University, Fresno and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have worked together to produce outstanding, well-rounded individuals through the Sheriff’s Academy.  This program has trained deputies, officers, investigators and agents who now work for local, state and federal law enforcement agencies across the country.

The program is designed to train and educate the cadets while attending school and/or working in the community.  It is the goal of the program to have all cadets successfully complete each module and progress towards their career goals.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Module III and II Academy meets the minimum standards set forth by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) to become a Level II Reserve Peace Officer.

Module I Academy

Both programs are academically and physically demanding. The program is paramilitary structured, requiring students to work together as a team, while learning leadership skills and responsibility.

Cadets are required to show a high level of self-respect, self-discipline and professionalism. Cadets will be held to a high standard of ethical behavior as a representative of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
