On Thursday afternoon, Fresno County Sheriff's deputies arrested Alan Rangel at a home on the 20400 block of Valley Oak Lane in Riverdale.  The 26-year-old Riverdale man was wanted for assaulting his 87-year-old grandfather.

9/12/15 - On Saturday, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies issued evacuation warnings for the area along Hopewell Road north of Highway 180 and east to the Sequoia National Forest boundary.

The suspect killed during an officer involved shooting has been identified as Casimero Carlos Casillas, 45, of Fresno.  Casillas commonly went by the first name of Shane.  The Coroner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for Wednesday.

Due to changing conditions of the Rough Fire, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is informing the public that effective immediately, mandatory evacuation notices are being issued to certain residents near where the Rough Fire is burning. This is a fluid situation and there is no time table for when these mandatory evacuations will be lifted.

Aurelio Murillo, 38, of Parlier has been booked into the Fresno County Jail.  He is facing charges of burglary, harming a K-9 officer, drug possession and possessing false citizenship documents.

 8/30/15 - Sunday night, the evacuation warning notices in the Wishon area were lifted.  The precautionary measure was put in place on Friday as fire crews battling the Rough Fire conducted measures to help contain the fire.  The operation was a success.
