Darryl Bradley

Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested Darryl Bradley, 37, of Fresno. He was cited and released on misdemeanor charges of possessing drugs, being under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest.

Just before 9:00 am on Tuesday, Darryl Bradley attempted to pass through the metal detectors located in the lobby screening area of BF Sisk Courthouse (1130 O Street, Fresno). Deputies found Bradley to be in possession of a torch lighter and told him that the item was not allowed in the courthouse. As deputies began to speak with Bradley, they noticed he was confused and had slurred speech. Deputies believed he was possibly under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. A deputy took Bradley outside and explained to him that he would not be allowed into the courthouse until he passed a drug evaluation test. Bradley, who was detained and not allowed to leave, decided to walk away. The deputy caught up to Bradley and attempted to stop him by grabbing ahold of his arm. Bradley spun around and became combative, fighting off two deputies who tried to handcuff him. After refusing numerous commands to stop resisting, deputies used a Taser on Bradley. It took three Taser applications to ultimately get the 6’4”, 280 lb. suspect to become compliant.

Bradley was taken to the hospital for evaluation, then booked into the Fresno County Jail and later released. Deputies found Bradley to be in possession of marijuana and a glass pipe.
