On August 21, officers with the El Monte Police Department arrested 21-year-old Kaleo Schreiner on a rape charge. Fresno County Sheriff homicide detectives are in communication with officers in southern California as each agency continues its own investigation.

An 18-year-old Reedley woman, who is pregnant, is listed in stable, but critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno after being shot in the head. She is identified as Ma Delacruz Arciga.

41-year-old Harvey Welch of Fresno has been booked into the Fresno County Jail for multiple counts including: Hit and run, reckless driving and drug possession. Welch is also on active probation for a drug charge and had a warrant out for his arrest.
Shortly before noon Monday, a 911 call was made to report an industrial accident and fire at an orchard located at 7855 N. Valentine Ave. in Fresno. Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies, Fresno Fire and American Ambulance responded and found a 79-year-old, Jim Andree, who was deceased.
