A woman recently found deceased in a Fresno County field has been identified as 31 year old Elise Ruiz of Clovis.

Around 9:45 am on October 21, a farm worker was tending to an almond orchard located on Sycamore Ave., just south of Ashlan Ave. in Kerman.  While in one of the rows, the worker discovered a deceased person.  A report was made to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the orchard and confirmed it to be a human body.  Homicide detectives and members of our Crime Scene Unit responded and took over the investigation.     

Detectives are working to learn more about Ruiz’ background.  No arrests have been made in this homicide case.
