Valley Crime Stoppers is on a mission to stop Fentanyl dealers in Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare counties by partnering with local law enforcement agencies and offering a $1,000 reward for anonymous tips leading to the arrest of Fentanyl dealers.
Since 2018, there have been more than 400 Fentanyl deaths in Fresno County alone. “This drug is killing our neighbors, co-workers, family members, and friends. We need to come together as a community and do something to stop it.”, says Valley Crime Stoppers Board President, Dale Mendoza. Mendoza co-founded Valley Crime Stoppers in 1993 and strongly believes victims of crime and law enforcement need help now more than ever.
Valley Crime Stoppers has partnered with Outfront Media to post informational billboards, both digital and static, throughout the Valley alerting the public to this campaign.
To be eligible for the $1,000 reward, the anonymous tip must lead to an arrest and be submitted directly to Valley Crime Stoppers by calling 498-STOP (7867), texting Valley to 738477, or by going to www.valleycrimestoppers.org and clicking Submit a Tip.
About Valley Crime Stoppers:
Fresno Area Crime Stoppers, Inc. was formed in 1993. The name Valley Crime Stoppers was chosen in recent years to reflect our ongoing efforts to make not only Fresno a safer place to live, but the entire San Joaquin Valley.
Our mission is to deter, reduce, and help solve crimes by paying cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrests through partnerships with law enforcement and media throughout the valley. As a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, we have given nearly $2,000,000 in rewards for anonymous tips leading to more than 13,000 arrests over the last 30 years. All rewards are paid using the generous contributions of our amazing corporate and individual sponsors.
Valley Crime Stoppers is made up of 27 volunteer board members, a law enforcement Program Coordinator, and a Program Director. Together, we meet once a month with law enforcement representatives to discuss crime and notable cases. We post Daily Most Wanted criminals and major crimes to our 20,000+ social media followers and encourage anyone with information to submit their anonymous tips.
Valley Crime Stoppers hosts fundraisers throughout the year that help run day-to-day operations. We are most known for our annual fundraiser, “June Jam”, which is regularly attended by over 1,000 guests. Valley Crime Stoppers also uses some of the money raised to donate five scholarships to Fresno City College for deserving students studying to become law enforcement officers.
We strongly believe law enforcement and victims of crime need support now more than ever. Valley Crime Stoppers is committed to growing our reach beyond Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare counties and remains dedicated to supporting law enforcement through our non-profit for generations to come.
