
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office today announced the arrest of a Southern California man in connection with the seizure of several pounds of methamphetamine during a vehicle stop. Arrested was 22 year old s Jr of Calistoga.
Earlier this morning, shortly before 9:30am, deputies stopped a silver colored Toyota near the intersection of North & Cedar for traffic violations.
Deputies contacted the driver, Farias, and found him to be on probation.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a secret compartment behind the left rear seat. Inside the compartment, deputies discovered ten packages, all of which contained methamphetamine.
The subsequent investigation found there to be approximately twenty five pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $250,000-$500,000.
Farias was arrested and will be booked into the Fresno County Jail for possession of methamphetamine for sales, transportation of methamphetamine, and other narcotics related charges.
