The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office today announced the arrests of two Fresno men, one Fresno woman, and a Fresno teen in connection with a hot prowl burglary which occurred Sunday, west of Fresno. Arrested were 27 year old Eric Perez-Segura, 18 year old Mario Segura, 19 year old Theresa Polanco-Sosa, and the 15 year old juvenile.
Sunday night, shortly after 11:00pm, deputies responded to the in-progress burglary call at a residence located in the 11000 block of W Shaw Ave.
The victim reported being awakened by noise coming from the laundry room of their home. When he went to investigate, he opened the door to the laundry room and came face to face with one of the burglars who was looking into the room through a broken window. The subject fled on foot when the victim yelled at him.
When deputies arrived, they determined three suspects were involved. With the assistance of K9 “Oka”, shoe tracks were followed to a residence located in the 6000 block of N Dower Ave.
After making contact with the residents of the home, Segura and the juvenile were detained. Deputies recovered evidence at the home linking Segura, the juvenile, and Perez-Segura to the crime.
Polanco-Sosa, apparent girlfriend of Segura, was also arrested when she was pulled over in her blue Honda Accord, leaving the burglary scene as deputies arrived.
All four subjects were arrested on charges of residential burglary. Perez-Segura, Segura, and Polanco-Sosa were booked into the Fresno County Jail. The juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center.
