Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a hot prowl burglary that occurred this past Saturday afternoon.

Shortly before 5:30pm, deputies responded to the in-progress burglary at a residence located in the 6000 block of W Clinton Ave.

When they arrived at the residence, deputies contacted two teenagers, ages 14 and 16, who advised they had hid in a closet for almost an hour while the home was burglarized.

Deputies learned the teenagers had been home alone when they heard a knock at the door.  The 16 year old looked out the window but did not recognize the subject.  After a few minutes, they heard subjects jumping the fence into their back yard area.  At that time, the minors hid in a closet.  The minors stayed in the closet while the subjects entered and burglarized the residence.

After about an hour, the minors came out of the closet and confronted the suspects.  The suspects then fled the residence, got into their vehicle, and drove from the area.

The investigation determined that four suspects were involved in the burglary.  All were described as Asian males, ages 16-21.  The vehicle was described as a mid to late 90’s, white Honda four door.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this investigation to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 600-3111, or CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP(7867).
