Thursday morning, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR) team began an operation to search for 34 year old Pedro Perez of Fresno, who had not been seen since the night of February 28th.

A short time into the search, SAR members made the discovery of a man’s body in a secluded area of a commercial property located near S. Maple and E. Muscat Avenues in Fresno. Technicians with our Crime Scene Unit later identified the man to be Pedro Perez. No foul play is suspected in this case.

On March 2nd, detectives with our Missing Persons Unit received the report of Perez’ disappearance. They learned Perez was last seen on the night of February 28th, in the area in which he lives of S. Maple and E. Central Avenues. Detectives worked diligently each day searching for evidence and speaking with friends and relatives to try and find Perez.
