Retired Undersheriff Scott Jones Laid to Rest

On Dec. 17th, a memorial service was held for retired Undersheriff Scott Jones at Northside Christian Church in Fresno. Jones was then taken to Clovis Cemetery District for burial.

Jones, 52, passed away on December 11th.  He began his career as a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office in 1983.  In 2007, Jones was promoted to the rank of Undersheriff by newly elected Sheriff Margaret Mims.  He held that rank until his retirement in 2013.

Jones is survived by his wife and two teenage sons.
