Just after 12:00 pm on March 29th, a man entered the Jiffy Food Stop located at 5851 S. Elm Ave. in Easton.

After purchasing a drink, he walked outside and opened an unlocked door of a car parked in the lot.  Inside was a box containing several cartons of cigarettes.  The man stole the entire box and fled in a four-door car described as being blue or gray in color.

The victim is a co-owner of the Jiffy Food Stop.  He had just returned from a shopping trip at Sam’s Club in Fresno where he had purchased $2,300 worth of cigarettes.  After removing a couple of cartons from his car, he forgot to lock it.  During the time he was in the back of the store, the suspect walked outside and stole the box from his backseat.

The suspect is black, in his mid-20s, 5’6” with a medium build and short hair.  He has a mustache.
