Ramee Ayesh

Fresno County Sheriff’s property crimes detectives have arrested Ramee Ayesh, 29, of Salinas, CA.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on four felony counts of burglary and two felony counts of possessing stolen property.  He has since posted bond and bailed out of jail.

On March 16th, the Sheriff’s Office received reports of burglaries from three different locations in the town of Friant.  One was at the Millerton Country Store located at 20023 Auberry Road, another was at a home in the Brighton Crest development and the other was at a home in the Mira Bella development.  Both Brighton Crest and Mira Bella are gated communities.

The suspect, Ramee Ayesh, broke through a window to get inside the Millerton Country Store.  He checked for cash in the register, but found it was empty, so he left without taking anything.

Ayesh later broke into a home located in the Mira Bella development.  He rummaged through things and stole some personal and financial documents.

Finally, Ayesh went to a home in Brighton Crest.  There he forced a door open and stole cash, jewelry, electronics and an autographed Mike Tyson World Championship Boxing Belt.  It once belonged to Tyson and the victim in this case bought it as part of a fundraiser.  Tyson was at the event and signed it for him.  The owner considered it a one of a kind item and valued it at $15,000.

On the afternoon of March 16th, a California Highway Patrol officer responded to a vehicle crash near Highway 180 and Fulton Street.  The driver had abandoned a 2016 black Ford Fusion.  The officer discovered the car was stolen from the auto dealership, Salinas Valley Ford.  Inside the car were items belonging to victims of the Brighton Crest and Mira Bella homes.  The officer also found a sales slip from the local jewelry shop, Clovis Gold and Silver.  The officer contacted FSO detectives and informed them of his findings.  Meanwhile, members of the FSO Crime Scene Unit checked the fingerprint stamped on the sales slip and identified it as belonging to Ramee Ayesh.

Detectives visited Clovis Gold and Silver and spoke with the owner.  She told them she purchased some jewelry, but was not aware it was stolen.  The owner was also in possession of the Mike Tyson boxing belt.  She was in the process of appraising it to see whether or not she would be interested in purchasing it.

On March 29th, detectives contacted the manager at Salinas Valley Ford and learned Ramee Ayesh was currently working as a salesman at the dealership.  Detectives drove to Salinas and contacted Ayesh during his shift.  They searched his car and found items belonging to victims of the Brighton Crest and Mira Bella homes.  They also uncovered a claim ticket from Clovis Gold and Silver for the Tyson boxing belt.  Ayesh was arrested with incident and transported to the Fresno County Jail.

Detectives recovered the majority of the stolen property, including the Tyson boxing belt.  Those items have been returned to the owners.

Anyone with additional information on the suspect in this case is asked to please contact the Sheriff’s Office dispatch at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).  All tips will remain anonymous and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
