Randy LayDetectives have identified a man they would like to question in regards to the disappearance of 46-year-old Fernando Subia of Fowler.

Randy James Lay, 55, is wanted for questioning only.  Detectives have received information that Lay and Subia were possibly together in the days before Subia went missing.  Lay is known to frequent the cities of Selma, Fowler and possibly Modesto.  His current address is unknown.  Lay is described as being 5’11”, 160 lbs. with red hair and blue eyes.  He goes by the nickname of “Red.”

Fernando Subia

Subia is described as being 5’8”, 150 lbs. and may now be clean shaven.  He has a tattoo of the word “Donna” on his left hand.  He was last seen December 9th, 2014 in the area of Adams and Clovis Ave. in Fowler.  Subia is an employee at the Harris Ranch Beef Co. packing plant in Selma.  The circumstances of his disappearance are being labeled as "suspicious.” There is a $9,000 reward for information leading to Subia’s whereabouts.
