The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office today announced the weekend arrest of one of the county’s top ten Ag criminals. Arrested was 43 year old Melvin Edward Robinson.
Robinson was arrested by patrol deputies and detectives with the Ag Task Force on several felony warrants after an anonymous tip led them to an apartment located in the 1500 block of W Church Ave in the City of Fresno.
Robinson, who is a transient, had been wanted on a variety of charges including vehicle theft, grand theft, and narcotics violations. He was known to frequent the areas of Caruthers and Malaga, and detectives believe he is responsible for several ag related crimes in the area.
In addition to the warrants, Robinson was charged with several narcotics violations when methamphetamine and syringes were found in the apartment.
Two other subjects, Robinson’s girlfriend Cynthia Sanders, and Edward Marquez, were also arrested on felony charges and warrants.
