Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Fresno man after the victim of a burglary used a tracking system to locate his computer. The computer and other stolen property were later discovered at the suspect’s home. Arrested was 19 year old Robert Cano.

The burglary occurred last Wednesday at a residence located in the 4500 block of N Arthur in Fresno. The victims returned home to find that someone had smashed a window to gain entry, then removed several items before fleeing.

During the investigation, the victims used a tracking feature to locate his computer. The computer was found to be at a home located in the 6000 block of W Richert Ave in the City of Fresno.

Deputies responded to the home where they contacted the residents. During the subsequent investigation, detectives learned Cano was seen earlier in the afternoon with the stolen computers. Two stolen computers were later discovered in Cano’s room.

During the search of Cano’s vehicle, additional items of stolen property were discovered, along with a small handgun.

Cano was arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and later booked into the Fresno County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
