Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are searching for two men who committed an armed robbery inside the Dollar General Store located at 13428 S. Henderson Road in Caruthers.

On Thursday, May 18th, two suspects entered the store at about 9:45 pm.  Two employees, who were the only ones in the store at the time, were preparing to close the store for the night.  Both suspects wore jeans, hooded sweatshirts and masks covering their faces.  Suspect #2 pointed a rifle at the two employees, while Suspect #1 went behind the counter and ordered one of the clerks to empty cash from the safe and register into plastic bags.  Suspect #2 walked around the store, pointing his gun down the aisles, as he searched for other people.  Once Suspect # 1 had all of the money, both men left the store.  The clerks, who were not injured, immediately locked the doors and called the Sheriff’s Office at around 9:50 pm to report the robbery.

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic man, early 20s, 5’6”, thin build.

Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic man, early 20s, 5’8” – 6’0”, thin build.
