Fresno County Sheriff’s Narcotics detectives arrested three persons and seized marijuana, methamphetamine, and a semi-automatic handgun during the service of a search warrant this past Thursday. Arrested were 37 year old Sompheth Thonethao of Texas, and 29 year old Sangsao Chanthava and 39 year old Tounkeo Vongsananh both of Fresno.

Detectives served the search warrant this past Thursday at a residence located in the 4000 block of Maywood Drive South. The search warrant was in connection with the ongoing narcotics investigation into illegal marijuana grows in Fresno County.

During the service of the search warrant, detectives seized just under one hundred mature marijuana plants, almost forty pounds of processed marijuana, a small amount of methamphetamine, and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

All three suspects were arrested on charges of marijuana cultivation, possession of methamphetamine, and weapons charges. They were all later booked into the Fresno County Jail.
