Fresno County Sheriff's Narcotics detectives today eradicated two "hothouse" grows, and arrested three people in the continuing effort to enforce the ban on marijuana grows in Fresno County.
Acting on a tip, shortly before 11:00am, detectives responded to a residence located in the 45000 block of Panorama Lane in Squaw Valley regarding the marijuana grows.
Detectives discovered two large plastic hothouses which contained approximately 400 plants in various stages of growth. Detectives discovered four ‘medical marijuana recommendations' at the grow sites. One of the recommendations also had information regarding Fresno County's new ordinance prohibiting both indoor and outdoor grows.
Detectives obtained information that led them to another residence located in the 1000 block of N Sierra Vista Ave in the City of Fresno. There, detectives discovered just under one hundred marijuana plants in a "hothouse" located in the back yard.
One person was arrested at the Squaw Valley location, and two more arrested at the N Sierra Vista residence. 53 year old Intong Sivixay, 67 year old Pathinh Sivixay, and 65 year old Monh Phonasasivixay, all of Fresno were booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of marijuana cultivation, and possession of marijuana for The Sheriff's Office wants to remind the public that state and federal laws, along with County ordinances, prohibits the cultivation of marijuana in Fresno County and will be aggressively enforced.
