The Coroner’s Office has identified Tim Cox, 36, of Auberry as the victim of a residential fire.
On September 11th at around 2:00 am, Cal Fire responded to a fire at a double wide trailer on the 33600 block of SJ and E Road in Auberry. The trailer was located near the Mary Lou Mobile Home Park. After firefighters extinguished the fire, they notified the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office of a man found dead inside a bedroom, so detectives were dispatched to the scene. The victim, Tim Cox, was the only person in the trailer. He died along with two of his dogs. At this time, it appears to be an accident, but this is an ongoing investigation.
