The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office today announced the arrest of a Fresno man in connection with two burglaries in the Sunnyside area of Fresno. Arrested was 22 year old Timothy Richard Flores.

Yesterday at about 10:11am, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress call at a residence located in the 800 block of S Sunnyside Ave. The caller had reported confronting a male subject in his garage. The subject was last seen walking south on the street.

As deputies arrived on scene, dispatch advised of a burglar alarm call just around the corner. Deputies responded to the alarm call at a residence in the 5800 block of E Alta Ave.

While checking the residence, deputies discovered Flores in a breezeway area between the residence and garage. Flores was armed with a kitchen knife but was detained without incident.

During the investigation, deputies learned Flores had burglarized both homes while the residents were inside. He was also found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

Flores was charged with two counts of residential burglary and narcotics violations, and later booked into the Fresno County Jail.
