On Thursday afternoon, Fresno County Sheriff's deputies arrested Alan Rangel at a home on the 20400 block of Valley Oak Lane in Riverdale. The 26-year-old Riverdale man was wanted for assaulting his 87-year-old grandfather.
On September 8th, deputies responded to a home on the 20800 block of S. Valentine Ave. in Riverdale for a disturbance. Deputies found an elderly man bleeding due to severe cuts he suffered on his face, neck and arm. The victim’s grandson, Rangel, was not supposed to be at house, but he forced his way inside. During an argument, Rangel shoved his grandfather through a plate glass window, then ran away. An ambulance took the victim to the hospital for medical treatment.
Alan Rangel is described as Hispanic, 6’1” tall and 158 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair.
