The body of a suspected drowning victim has been recovered in Hume Lake. Late this morning, divers recovered the victim in the Sandy Cove area of Hume Lake where divers had been searching since this past Friday.

On the afternoon of July 4th, deputies had been dispatched to Hume Lake to assist the U.S. Forest Service on the reported drowning of a 27 year old man who was visiting the lake with his family.

The road at the Sandy Cove entrance, which has been closed since the reported accident, should be re-opened at 3:00pm today.
