On the afternoon of February 7th, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burnt vehicle located in an orchard near Palmer and El Dorado Avenues in Huron.

Deputies responded and after closely inspecting the Ford car, they noticed what appeared to be human remains inside.  Homicide detectives, members of the Crime Scene Unit and Coroner’s Office all responded to the orchard to collect evidence.  It is unknown how long the vehicle had been in the orchard and when it caught fire.

Due to the condition of the body, an identification cannot be made at this time.  DNA tests will need to be conducted to make that determination.  This process takes months to complete.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective Jose Mora at (559) 600-8205, Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or  You will remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward.
