On Thursday, April 23rd, Sheriff Margaret Mims recognized newly promoted and hired employees of the Fresno County Sheriff – Coroner Office.

The Promotions, Swearing-In & Awards Ceremony took place at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in downtown Fresno.

Sheriff Mims announced the promotions of seven employees.  Three are sheriff’s sergeants, three are professional staff members and the other is a sheriff’s correctional lieutenant.

A total of 38 new employees were announced.  This group included:  16 correctional officers, 11 deputy sheriffs and 11 professional staff members. 

Nine existing members from the former Fresno County Coroner Office were welcomed as part of the newly formed Fresno County Sheriff – Coroner Office.

Sheriff Mims presented awards to three sheriff’s deputies for their special achievements.  Deputy Dale Baumann received a Distinguished Service Medal.  Deputies Jason Hollins and Detective Phil Lodge each received Official Commendations.
