You will now hear a new greeting when dialing (559) 600-3111 to reach the Fresno County Sheriff's Office non-emergency dispatch center.

1)    The automated system will prompt you to select a language to continue.

2)    You will then be asked to hang up and call 911 if it is a life or death emergency or there is a crime in progress.

3)    The option is given for you to "Report a Crime Online" by visiting our website at www.fresnosheriff.org

4)    There are six touch-key options to get directly to the most common departments within our office that residents often call the dispatch center to try and reach.

-Press 1 for the jail
-Press 2 for a warrant
-Press 3 for a copy of a report or vehicle release
-Press 4 for the Civil Unit
-Press 5 for the CCW Unit
-Press 6 for the release of property
-Remaining on the line will allow you to speak live with the next available dispatcher.

The goal of this new system is to maximize the time of both you the community member and our dispatchers. Our dispatchers have historically spent a considerable amount of valuable time transferring calls to other units for matters that dispatchers do not specialize in. It is important to note that these dispatchers are the same ones who handle 911 calls, so their time may be needed for those higher priority calls for service.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement this change. We hope it helps you to resolve your matter in a more efficient manner.
