Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives have announced the arrest of a fourth suspect wanted in connection with the murder of George Salwasser this past week near the town of Biola.
Late this past Friday afternoon, 22 year old Jose Oceguera Canas was arrested by MAGEC units during a vehicle stop at McKinley & Rolinda.
The investigation started to focus on Canas as a fourth suspect and MAGEC units began a surveillance of his Biola residence. He was arrested without incident.
At about the same time, MAGEC units were also watching a residence in Calwa where Fabian Mansanalez was believed to be. During their surveillance, units observed Mansanalez and arrested him without incident near the intersection of Cedar & Church.
Both were later booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of murder.
With the arrests, detectives now believe they have all of the people involved in Salwasser’s murder, however the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 600-3111, or CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP(7867).
