Shortly after 3:00 am on Sunday, August 8th, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired call in Caruthers.

Deputies arrived at the home located at 2751 West Clemenceau Avenue.  There they discovered a large party had taken place and many of the guests had left.  Through their investigation, deputies learned multiple fights had broken out and gunfire erupted during the night.  An 18 year old woman was struck by a bullet and taken to the hospital for treatment.  Doctors expect her to recover from her injuries.

Detectives know this party was advertised on social media, allowing a variety of people to gather who did not get along with each other.  They would like to speak with some of the people in attendance to get a better understanding of any altercations that may have led up to the shooting.  At this time, detectives do not have any suspects identified.

If you have any information, photos or videos connected to this house party, please contact Detective Richard Antunez.  He can be reached at (559) 600-8221. You may also contact Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or www.valleycrimestoppers.org  You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
