Fresno County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the body found yesterday near Orange & Clayton.
Shortly before 3:00pm, deputies responded to the call in a eucalyptus grove in the 6700 block of S Orange Ave.
A resident of the property was walking in the area when she discovered what appeared to be human skeletal remains. She immediately contacted other family members who called the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation revealed the remains appear to have been there for at least one year.
Detectives believe the remains are that of a male between the ages of 25-40. He is estimated to be 5-6 to 5-7 tall. His race is still unknown.
One item of clothing, a belt and metal belt buckle, was discovered with the remains. The belt is black in color, and the buckle appears to have a “D” on it.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the possible identity of the subject is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 600-3111.
