Members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit have identified a woman who was the victim of a homicide. She is 39 year old Tina Woods of Fresno.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate Woods’ vehicle, which has not been seen since her body was discovered. It is a 2002 white Chevy Suburban. It has a California license plate of 7RAE608. The SUV has a sunroof, tinted windows and a roof rack. It also has a large dent on the driver’s side rear quarter panel.
Shortly before 3:30 pm on Tuesday, August 11th, a farmer made a report to the Sheriff’s Office that he had discovered what appeared to be a partially buried person, with a leg sticking out of the ground. This was located in an orchard on the north side of W. Lincoln Ave., between S. Walnut and S. Fruit Avenue, near Easton. Deputies arrived and determined it to be a deceased human. Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene to collect evidence. No arrests have been made and a motive has not been determined.
