Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public to help them catch a man wanted in connection to multiple home burglaries in the Fowler, Selma and Caruthers areas.

The suspect is 29 year old Daniel Fonseca Barroso of Fresno.  He is more commonly known as Daniel Fonseca.  He is 6’1”, 150 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair.  He has several tattoos, including the name “Fonseca” on his back, “Sebastian” on his left forearm and “Syd” on his upper right arm.  Fonseca has an active arrest warrant, which carries a bail amount of $205,000.

On the afternoon of July 3rd, 2016, deputies responded to a home burglary located on the 5000 block of W. Saginaw Ave. in Caruthers.  The suspect, now identified as Daniel Fonseca, broke through a door and ransacked the house.  He took electronics, cash, two guns and most notably, the family’s female English Bulldog named Ailani.  The family is heartbroken that their beloved pet is still missing.  They ask that anyone who has information of the dog’s whereabouts to contact the Sheriff’s Office right away.

It’s worth noting that a similar burglary occurred during the weekend of July 16th – 17th at a home on the 16000 block of S. Fowler Ave. in Selma.  During this incident, the burglar (Fonseca) took electronics, cash, jewelry, guns and also an English Bulldog.  However, on July 20th, an unidentified citizen became aware of the stolen dog; they were able to take possession of it and safely return it to the family.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Daniel Fonseca or the missing dog, Ailani, is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at (559) 600-3111, Detective George Razo at (559) 600-8172 or Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867.  You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
