Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office need help finding 35 year old Jose Luis Godinez, who goes by a nickname of “Bola.” He is considered a person of interest in an ongoing homicide investigation.
Just before 3:00 pm on December 29th, 2019, dispatchers with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an injured man inside the garage of a home at 5215 E. Belmont Ave. in Fresno. Deputies and EMS arrived and arranged to transport 48 year old Alphonso Markus Durazo to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he later died due to gunshot wounds.
Homicide detectives arrived and interviewed several people. Jose Godinez, who is believed to have been at the home at the time of the murder, has been identified as a person of interest in the investigation. Speaking with Godinez could provide detectives with critical information to help solve their investigation.
Jose Godinez is from Sanger, but also frequents northwest Fresno and the area of W. McKinley Ave. and N. Marks Ave. in Fresno. He is 5’7”, 180 lbs. with short black hair and brown eyes. He may have a mustache and goatee.
