Around 4:00 pm Tuesday, a passerby reported a 31 year old man was struck by a bullet in his upper body while riding a bike.
This occurred on Orange Ave. between Belgravia & Church Ave.
The victim is a known gang member and was not cooperative with deputies first to arrive on scene. He was taken to the hospital and rushed to surgery. His injury was considered life-threatening.
Detectives have interviewed potential witnesses from nearby businesses. After reviewing surveillance video in the area, they have identified a white, 2000s model GM SUV as the possible suspect's vehicle.
