Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for two men involved in an attempted armed robbery, which resulted in a man being shot.  Each of the suspects is described as being black, 5’10”, 180 lbs.

On Sunday at 7:00 pm, two masked men entered the Shop -N- Gas store located at 4386 W. Shields Ave. in Fresno.  They demanded money from the clerk and while he was accessing the cash register, the suspect(s) shot the clerk two times in his upper body.  The suspects then ran out of the store.  A customer who later walked in found the 47 year old employee injured on the floor.  They called for help, an ambulance responded and transported the victim to the hospital.  The victim underwent successful surgery and doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
