Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office need the public’s help to identify four people connected to a shooting inside a home that seriously injured a man.

Shortly before 6:00 pm on April 19th, deputies were dispatched to help a victim of a shooting inside a house located on the 700 block of N. Lafayette Ave. in Fresno.  Deputies arrived and found a 55 year old man who had been shot.  One of the deputies quickly applied his tourniquet to stop the victim from bleeding.  EMS personnel then transported the victim to hospital.  The quick medical aid given by first responders later proved to be critical in saving the man’s life.

Deputies spoke with the victim and reviewed video surveillance captured at the home to determine what led to the shooting.  Four people, two men and two women, walked to the front door of the home and were let inside by one of the residents.  An argument then broke out between the suspects and two people inside the home, resulting in one of the suspects pulling out a gun and shooting the 55 year old man.  The men and women ran out of the house and drove away in a lowered, light colored crew cab Chevy or GMC pickup truck, which has large custom rims.

The motive for the crime is still under investigation.  Detectives do not believe this was a random shooting.
