At 9:30 am Tuesday, Fresno County Sheriff's deputies responded to an armed bank robbery at 5751 S. Elm Ave. in Easton.

A man walked into the WestAmerica Bank branch and handed the teller a note demanding money.  The suspect, who was holding a handgun, was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the bank. 

Deputies searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect.  Detectives have gathered surveillance video of the suspect taken inside the bank and are working to get other possible video captured by cameras at surrounding businesses.

 

  

The suspect is described as:  Black or Hispanic, 35 - 45 years old, 5'7", 180 lbs.  He was wearing a long-sleeve plaid shirt, dark colored jeans, a tan beret (Kangol) hat and had black square-shaped eye glasses.  He was last seen traveling westbound on W. Fantz Ave. in a white 4-door car, possibly a Chevy Sonic or Cruze. 

Two employees and one customer were inside during the robbery.  Nobody was injured.
