Around 12:30 am on Thursday, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call where the caller stated that there was an injured woman at a home on the 20000 block of Auberry Road, near the intersection of Millerton Road.
Deputies found a woman who had been shot and was deceased. The Coroner's Office has identified her as 36 year old Karisha Beardsley. Deputies did a further search of the property and found an injured man just outside the home who was also deceased due to gun shot wounds. He has been identified as 44 year old John Asher. Additionally, inside the home was a two year old girl. She is the daughter of the deceased woman. The child was not injured and is now be cared for by staff members at Child Protective Services (CPS). The relationship of the two victims has not yet been determined.

The 911 caller is a friend of the female victim who arrived at the home around 12:30 am. Detectives later interviewed this person. No arrests have been made.
This is an ongoing investigation. Homicide detectives and crime scene technicians are working together in gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to try and determine more information in this case. Narcotics, such as methamphetamine, were found inside the home, however, it's unknown if this played a role in the motive of this crime.
This marks the 2nd and 3rd homicides of the year in Fresno County.
