Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 42 year old Robert Saldana of Fresno and 55 year old Gary Guerra of Fresno.
Saldana has been in the Fresno County Jail since August of 2024 following an arrest for robbery. Detectives have since added a murder charge to his booking record. He is not eligible for bail.
Guerra was arrested on January 18, 2025. He faces a murder charge and has a bail set at $1 million.
At 4:40 am on April 30th, 2024, someone passing along S. Frank Ave. (between E. Muscat and E. Grand Avenues) noticed a man lying on the ground of an alleyway. They made a report to Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers and deputies responded to Malaga to check on the person. Deputies discovered 43 year old Jonathan Franco of Fresno had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body and was deceased.
