Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit have arrested a 14 year old boy and booked him into Juvenile Hall.

He faces two charges of murder and one charge of attempted murder.  (Due to being a minor, his name and photo will not be released).

The victims who died have been identified as Lue Yang (male) and Se Vang (female), both 37 years old. They were husband and wife. Their 11 year old daughter suffered major injuries.  She is being treated at the hospital and doctors expect her to survive.

Around 7:40 pm on Wednesday, December 27th, deputies responded to an injured persons call at a home on the 47000 block of Dunlap Road in Miramonte.  The 911 caller, a 14 year old boy, said someone had broken into his house and attacked his mom, dad and sister.  He said the intruder then fled the scene in a pickup truck.

Once inside the house, deputies discovered two deceased adults and an 11 year old girl who was suffering from injuries.  EMS personnel immediately transported the child to the hospital who has since undergone surgery and is making improvements in her health.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and learned there were inconsistencies with what supposedly took place.  The evidence ultimately showed the 14 year old boy had fabricated the story of a break-in and he was responsible for using multiple weapons to attack his family members.  Another young boy was also home, but was not injured.  He is now being cared for by other family members.  Detectives have not determined a motive for these crimes.  This remains an ongoing investigation.

This case is now being reviewed by the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office.
