Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 29 year old Jose Estrada of Fresno.
He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple charges of robbery, use of a gun to commit a felony, committing a felony while out on bail and auto theft. His bail is set at $620,000. Estrada bonded out of jail in July after being arrested for battery.
Estrada has been arrested for armed robberies at the following Fresno County businesses.
October 25th, Riverdale Liquor Store, 3428 W. Mount Whitney Ave. in Riverdale. Cash and tobacco products were stolen.
December 14th, Adina Valley Market, 9010 S. Elm Ave. near Easton. Cash was stolen.
On December 15th, Estrada attempted to rob a man at a recycling center located near State Foods Supermarket, 21282 S. Marks Ave. in Riverdale. Estrada pointed a shotgun at the victim and demanded money, but the victim refused and charged at him causing Estrada to run away.
Estrada also faces a charge for stealing a car on December 15th from a business parking lot located at 3390 W. Mount Whitney Ave. in Riverdale. This Honda was used to commit one of the robberies. Detectives later found it abandoned and returned it to the owner.
During this investigation, sheriff’s detectives collaborated with the Clovis Police Department. They developed information that Estrada was responsible for also for committing an armed robbery on December 20th at Tower Smoke Shop, 95 W. Shaw Ave. in Clovis where cash and merchandise were stolen. Clovis Police added the charge to Estrada’s arrest record.
