On Monday, property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman they had been trying to locate for more than four months.
She is 39 year old Sarah Avedisian of Fresno. Detectives developed information that Avedisian was in the area of Clinton and West Avenues in Fresno. They responded to a business near the intersection, found her and took her into custody. She has been booked into the Fresno County Jail. She face numerous felony and misdemeanor charges related to burglary, identity theft and drug possession. Her bail is set at $105,000.
In the fall of 2019, detectives identified Avedisian as a chronic burglar, someone breaking into countless mailboxes and committing many acts of identity fraud. This was occurring in both the Fresno County Sheriff and Fresno Police Department’s jurisdictions. Detectives believe this arrest will have an immediate positive impact on the community, reducing mail theft and identity theft.
