Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 18 year old Brice Robinson of Fresno.

He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of murder. His bail is $1 million.

Shortly before 7:30 pm on Sunday, Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers received a call of a stabbing victim at a home on the 4000 block of N. Sunnyside Ave. in Fresno’s Tarpey Village neighborhood. Deputies arrived on scene and found 60 year old Brian Robinson suffering from stab wounds. EMS personnel transported him to Community Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Homicide detectives and members of the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit responded to the home. They interviewed witnesses and collected evidence. Detectives learned there was a disturbance between the father and son, which escalated into violence. Detectives later arrested Brice Robinson. A motive has not yet been determined. This remains an ongoing investigation.

Our homicide unit has investigated nine homicides this year. Seven occurred in the Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction and two took place in other cities.
