Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 28-year-old Joshua Goff and 29-year-old Jenna Havlik for the physical abuse of a 5-year-old girl.

On Dec. 18, deputies responded to an apartment complex located on the 3500 block of N. Pleasant Ave. in Fresno.  A man living there reported that his 5-year-old stepdaughter had numerous bruises on her body.  Deputies determined the injuries occurred during a recent stay at the home of the child’s biological father, Joshua Goff.  Goff and his girlfriend, Jenna Havlik, hit the child and caused bruising on both her back and head.  When deputies questioned the couple, they made up several stories.  Goff and Havlik are now in the Fresno County Jail, being held on child abuse charges.

The child is expected to be ok and is now staying with her mother and stepfather.  The investigation into this matter remains open.
