Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are currently investigating a deceased person call near the intersection of Manning & Cherry.

Earlier this morning, shortly before 7:00am, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding the deceased person. Workers disking a vineyard near the northwest corner of the intersection discovered the body in one of the rows. They immediately backed out of the vineyard and called the Sheriff’s Office.

Responding deputies discovered the body of male subject. Due to the condition of the body it was apparent it had been there several days. A bicycle was also found nearby.

The cause of death is unknown at this time. Detectives are treating it as suspicious at this time.
