Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Property Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s help to identify two met caught on camera vandalizing a water vending machine and ice freezer box. The crime lasted a total of nine minutes.

On November 15th at 3:00 am, crimes of vandalism and theft occurred at the A&M Market located at 2104 W. Belmont Ave. in Fresno. A surveillance camera shows a man get out of a car and then take a pry bar out of the trunk. Suspect #1 attempts to pry open the Glacier water vending machine located outside, in front of the store. About 30 seconds later, suspect #2 gets out of the car and takes over, trying to pry the machine open. The attempts comes to a halt after three minutes, once suspect #2 slips and falls. The men put the bar away and suspect #2 moves on to use a pair of bolt cutters. After another minute of having no luck, he gives up and suspect #1 returns to using the pry bar. A short time later, suspect #2 uses the bolt cutters to break into the nearby ice freezer box. He removes three bags of ice and puts them in the car. Both men then get into the car and drive away.

Suspect #1 appears to be black and suspect #2 Hispanic. Their car appears to be a late model silver or gray Mercury Grand Marquis.

Damage to the water machine was about $900. Meanwhile, the stolen ice was valued at approximately $8.00.
