Summer is a popular time for people to host parties. Whether it’s a celebration for graduation, a birthday or even a good old fashioned barbeque, you must be careful whom you invite.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public about the potential dangers of advertising events to a wide, unknown audience. Doing so increases the chances of people from rival groups showing up and causing trouble. It’s important to note that you can be held legally responsible for actions which take place at your property.
A good recommendation is to stick to a guest list and don’t allow strangers to randomly show up to your party. Blasting out text messages of upcoming or ongoing parties can invite theft and violence into your homes. Remember, to make sure your party is a blast, don’t blast it out.
