8/17/16 - Around 4:45 pm on Wednesday, a citizen notified Clovis Police that Tom Rouse was shopping inside the Save Mart store at Herndon and Fowler in Clovis. Clovis PD detained him and Sheriff’s deputies then responded to place him under arrest.
8/16/16 - Detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and investigators with Cal Fire – Fresno County are searching for 58 year old Tom Rouse of Friant.
Rouse is white, 6’5”, 225 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair. He also has a noticeable scar on his left forearm.
On Sunday, August 14th, Rouse set his home on fire, which was located on the 17000 block of Parkcliffe Lane in Friant. On Monday, Rouse attempted set fire to his mother’s home, which is located nearby on the 17000 block of Bluewater Bay Lane. The motive for the arson and arson attempt is unclear.
In an unrelated case, Rouse is wanted on felony charges of elder abuse and making deadly threats.
Rouse is reported to have last been seen riding a blue road bicycle near the Food 4 Less grocery store located at Chestnut and Shepherd in Fresno.
