The Fresno County Sheriff’s Ag Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s help to locate eight tractors which were stolen sometime between August 10 – 12, 2015.
On Thursday, deputies responded to a ranch on S. Frankwood Ave., just south of Hwy. 180 in Sanger. The property owner said eight New Holland tractors disappeared while he was away from his land for a few days. The 2012 and 2013 models were parked near barns. It’s believed the suspect(s) may have loaded the tractors on to a large trailer in order to steal them.
The tractor makes and models are 2012 New Holland T1510 and 2013 New Holland Workmaster 35. Four of each were taken and they are valued at approximately $9,000 each.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind citizens to be aware of people who approach them with merchandise to sell. In this case, the suspect(s) may try and offer a tractor at an incredibly low price. If you purchase stolen goods, you could face criminal charges. Remember, if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Ag Office at (559) 600-8150 or email
