Visalia Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

The Central California Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) Task Force today announced the arrest of a Visalia man in connection with an internet child pornography investigation. Arrested was 25-year-old Michael Martinez.

Martinez was identified during a proactive peer-to-peer software sharing investigation.

Yesterday morning, ICAC investigators along with agents from Homeland Security served a search warrant at Martinez's Visalia home. They found Martinez to be in possession of 250 child pornography files and 25 videos of very young children being sexually abused.

Martinez was arrested at his home on charges of possessing child pornography and later booked in to the Tulare County Jail.

Martinez's home was five houses away from an elementary School.

The Central Valley ICAC Task Force is comprised of federal and local law enforcement spread throughout nine counties located in the Central Valley of California. The Central Valley ICAC is dedicated to protecting children online and investigating crimes against children which are facilitated by the Internet and computer usage.
